Cyber Safari

Cyber Safari is an outdoor app for teenagers with their school classes exploring Zurich in teams; part city scavenger hunt, part digital-literacy program.

It was built with ZHAW, the University of Zurich,

and FH Graubünden.

Through 6 outdoor challenges, players learn to handle real digital risks: social media stress, cyberbullying, and violations of online privacy, which are increasingly common among teenagers today.

INTRODUCTION

AWARDED MEDALS - HISTORY

APP STORE PAGE

After defining a subtle visual direction together, Nico, Noel, and Joel took care of the UI, while Meagan, Pablo, and I focused on the mascot, the medals given after every challenge and all the illustrations and animations.

The medals needed to be engaging and exciting, and to convey their challenge clearly.

Collecting enough medals makes you a Cyberchampion.

For the creation Illustrator was used for the realization and visual research of the Character and the Medals, Figma was used for the creative process behind the Visual Identity and for delivering a complete prototype of the app, and finally After Effects was used for all the animations.

It's live now on iOS and Android, with outreach to schools currently underway.
